About me
I spent almost a decade as an engineer with a Managed Service Provider doing Microsoft and VMware engineering and support before changing gears at Kalamazoo RESA, the local Educational Service Agency for Kalamazoo County in southwest Michigan.
As a parent of two, I found my passion in education, helping local students and teachers. During my time at KRESA, we created a K-12 support consortium called Southwest MiTech, which now partners with 20 schools and ESAs across five counties, and other entities such as two local public libraries, the region’s unemployment offices, a variety of statewide application development projects, and built the underlying server infrastructure for the state's Michigan Datahub EdFi project.
I currently lead the Kalamazoo RESA infrastructure teams, including their Cloud Services team, and am working to “go statewide” to help support any school in the state with its AWS cloud journey. Most recently, I was selected as part of Amazon's inaugural "Education Champions" group that recognizes cloud innovation in education across the country.
